Retrospective to International blood donation day in square of s/c Origo

In June, s/c Origo teamed up with Valsts asinsdonoru centrs (State Blood Donor Centre) and radio Star FM to celebrate the #blooddonation movement and the importance of saving lives. The educational and informational social event dedicated to the Blood Donation Week “We Have One Bloodstream” took place at the square near s/c Origo. Everyone had the opportunity to find out their blood type and donate blood, as well as enjoy festive atmosphere in a Star FM pop-up radio studio broadcasting live stream and meet well-known guests.
“Promoting public health is one of our strategic directions of sustainability, therefore we are very pleased with the long-standing cooperation between s/c Origo and the State Blood Donor Centre, which gives the visitors and tenants of the shopping centre the opportunity to participate in such socially important activities and become part of the blood donation movement. S/c Origo is designed as a convenient and accessible shopping environment, and it is important for us to support projects and initiatives that encourage both society as a whole and each individual to think about inclusive conditions and to act responsibly and empathetically. It is important to offer people opportunities to help others, so it is only natural that we have chosen to celebrate this important date once a year together with the SBDC,” says Evija Majevska, commercial director of Linstow Baltic and s/c Origo.
