Do you know what carsharing is?
Whatever we would call car sharing in the end it boils down to the same thing - two or more people sharing a car to get from point “A” to point “B” rather than driving alone. The benefits are numerous both for yourself, your family, your community and the environment. You save money on running costs, you save time looking for parking spaces and you help to save the planet by reducing your carbon footprint.

Origo has a car-sharing platform that allows visitors and employees to organize their journey to or from Origo Shopping Center and business center Origo One sharing the same car. Please register for car sharing on the Facebook group here!
Tips for car sharing:
- Agree on how often you want to share the driving:
- Alternate Daily
- Alternate Weekly
- Alternate Monthly
- What are the days you can/wish to carpool?
- What will be the pick-up order and drop-off order?
- Where will you meet?
- Split costs.
Calculate the fuel costs based on the distance driven, additional fees (tolls, parking, etc.), and fuel consumption of your vehicle. Depending on the number of people in the car, divide the cost of driving alone by the number of people, this will be your per trip cost for each participant. Agree if the driver pays a portion or if the passengers cover the full cost. - One-time.
If you are planning a one-time carpool, agree on “”when the payment”” will take place (beginning or end of the trip) and “”in what form”” (cash, electronic payment, etc.). - Recurring.
If you are planning a recurring carpool, specify the frequency at which the driver will be paid and how the driver will be paid. - Car owners / drivers.
Car owners should keep their vehicle clean, decide if smoking, eating, pets are allowed in the vehicle and communicate this to the passengers beforehand so that there are no misunderstandings. - Be on time!
Agree on pickup times, and respect the schedule.
